Puppet Theater: The first set was a fully functional Puppet Theater designed for interaction. This required meticulous planning to ensure that two puppeteers could comfortably operate multiple marionettes within the space. The set was designed with full interactivity in mind, allowing talent to engage directly with the marionettes, creating a seamless blend between performance and environment. French Salon: The second set was a 1:3 scale replica of a French Salon, the primary setting for the remainder of the film. This space was a detailed, miniaturized world populated by models representing iconic fashion figures. We incorporated 2,000 feet of intricate molding, much of which was custom-made using our CNC machine. The set featured numerous arches, a faux marble fireplace, and multiple windows, all designed to be "wild" (removable) for optimal camera access. To enhance the authenticity and immerse the viewer in this meticulously crafted world, we added hundreds of appliqués throughout the set. Every detail was designed to bring Melanie's vision to life, ensuring the audience was fully transported into the whimsical and highly detailed universe that Moschino envisioned.
